Antique Victorian oval locket set in 9ct yellow gold. The back of the locket has beautiful ornate engravings. On the front of the locket there is an open glass frame where a single picture, dried flower, hair or material can be placed. The locket can be worn with the the glass side outwards of the engraved side outwards.

The piece is 9ct yellow gold on the back where the engraving sits, the other part of the locket is set in brass. Brass was used for locket manufacture  because it was more durable.

The locket measures 2.1cm . 0.8" in height and 1.8cm / 0.7" in width. The locket hangs from a 9ct yellow gold 18" / 45.7cm chain.

CONDITION

The locket is in excellent antique condition. On the front of the locket there is a very slight discolouration.
